I attended the State University of New York- Buffalo, where I earned my master's degree in Biology. My working experience is varied, having run and designed my own web business and worked as a dental assistant at a dental practice. I truly enjoy assisting others and get great joy when I'm able to increase someone's understanding around a complex concept. I've always been a resource to family members and friends who need help with Science and Mathematics work because they trust my tutoring abilities. It's important to exert patience, explicate material thoroughly, and remain lighthearted when teaching. Students appreciate a teacher who keeps things interesting and entertaining. I make sure to be a well-rounded educator who listens and pays attention to student needs. I tailor my teaching techniques to what I've noticed about a student's learning style. I have experience in many subject areas, including Algebra, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, U.S. History, Ecology, and Social Sciences. I'm familiar with Regents testing, SAT and SAT subject test prep, and IB coursework. In my free time, I like racquetball, football, cooking, drums, and weight lifting.
